In Search of Nothingness. Emptiness. Infinity.
My work explores invisible dimensions of reality— what exists beyond perception yet shapes how we experience the world. Beginning with natural phe- nomena such as light and environmental changes, I translate these impressions into abstract visual forms through painting, installation, and immersive environments.
I understand these observations through Asian phi- losophical concepts, particularly Nothingness, ex- ploring cycles of presence and absence. I see natural forms not as static objects, but as accumulations of time—tree rings, flowing light, and organic patterns that embody continuous transformation. Natural materials such as mother-of-pearl are approached as living records of time, formed through the gradual growth of marine life. Its shifting surface allows me to reveal imperceptible processes, unfolding bet- ween presence and absence, continuity and infinity.

Lucis: Related Painting Series
Painting series developed from my Lucis project.
Lucis series
In daylight, the work appears as a subtle cream-colored painting. In darkness, it reveals a blue light emerging from within.
The spherical form evokes natural cycles of growth and renewal. It is both a circle and a point: a beginning from which a line, and perhaps time itself, unfolds. Here, beginning and end meet in an infinite cycle.
Ever Lucis series
‘Ever Lucis’ combines the Latin root Luc, meaning light, with Ever, suggesting continuity and eternity. The work explores how fleeting moments accumulate into a larger whole, forming a circle that can also be seen as a single point.
Under UV light, Fibonacci points emerge from the darkness, revealing a luminous sphere. The mathematical pattern evokes the underlying order of natural forms and raises questions about the relationship between light, time, and existence.
Lucis Pala series
Inspired by the primitive patterns of comb-pattern pottery, Lucis Pala explores repetition and continuity. Through patterns that extend and connect, simple marks begin to form a larger structure, evoking cycles, rhythms, and the emergence of order from seemingly simple forms.
The work reflects on how meaning might arise through repetition, and how an ancient visual language may connect us to our earliest ways of perceiving and understanding the world.
Mother of pearl - Nature´s light
Mother-of-pearl is a material born from a living organism, carrying within it the traces of accumulated time and a light of its own. I use fragmented pieces with incomplete and irregular forms, each holding a unique presence.
For me, these fragments bring together seemingly opposing ideas: infinity and Mu (無), or nothingness. Each fragment is incomplete on its own, yet together they suggest something boundless. Within their fragmented forms, I sense a paradox — that nothingness may hold the possibility of everything.

Air series
Air No.6
30x45cm,2026
Mother-of-pearl, formed through the accumulation of time, is fragmented into countless irregular pieces. Scattered across the canvas, these fragments seem to fill the space like air, creating a paradoxical presence: something that is full yet empty, present yet seemingly absent. Through this tension, the work explores the idea of nothingness — an emptiness that can be filled, and a fullness that contains nothing.
installation
The installation explores the ideas of nothingness and infinity through space, presence, and absence.
